Stephen Chiau was today presented with the Best Actor Award of the Hong Kong Film Critics Society (HKFCS), the first time that Chiau had ever won an acting award in Hong Kong. Handing out the award in a glittering ceremony at the Planet Hollywood was Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-hsien. The Best Actress Award went to joint winners Josephine Siao and Siqin Gaowa.
